    A Toronto Man, 25, Charged with Firearm

    Brampton – Police Officers from 21 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a Toronto man with firearm and driving related offences after a collision in Brampton.

    On Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 5:14 a.m., Peel Regional Police responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Steeles Avenue East and Torbram Road, in the City of Brampton. The driver from one of the involved vehicles fled on foot and was arrested a short distance away from the scene of the collision. At the time of his arrest, he was found to be in the possession of a loaded 40 cal Glock pistol. Further investigation revealed the involved vehicle to have been reported stolen.

    As a result of this investigation, Adrian Kyle Persad-Orr, a 25-year-old man from Toronto has been charged with the following offences: 

    • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
    • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
    • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
    • Operation While Impaired
    • Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
    • Failure to Stop After Accident
    • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
