Brampton – One man has been arrested and charged with two brazen robberies from malls in City of Brampton and Mississauga. Police are hunting other suspects after a pair of robberies targeted jewelry stores in Brampton and Mississauga.
Peel Police said they were called to the jewelry store in Bramalea City Centre Mall on Dec. 8, 2023 for reports of robbery and to a different store in Square One Mall on Jan. 17, 2024.
Multiple masked thieves armed with hammers smashing display cases and stealing the jewelry. They quickly fled the store with an undisclosed amount of jewelry. No physical injuries were reported.

Peel Regional Police said on Thursday they arrested a 21-year-old Josiah Madurie of Toronto and charged him in relation to the two robberies. He was charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of wearing a disguise, two counts of breach of recognizance and and possession of stolen property.
