Mississauga – Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau (C.I.B.) are alerting the public to two recent robberies in The Collegeway and South Millway area of Mississauga.
On Thursday, January 18, 2023, between 6:00 p.m. and 6:40 p.m., there were two separate robberies that occurred in close proximity to each other.
In both cases, the victims, adult women, advised they were walking outside on a pathway near the South Common Library when they were approached by two males who robbed them of personal belongings at knife-point. Fortunately, neither victim was physically harmed during the robberies.
There are three varying suspect descriptions:
Suspect 1: Male, dark-skinned, slim build, 5’6” – 5’9” tall, wearing a black sweater with the hood up.
Suspect 2: Male, dark-skinned, slim build, 5’6” – 5’9” tall, wearing bright coloured clothing.
Suspect 3: Male, dark-skinned, brown eyes, between the ages of 14-18, black pants, black puffy jacket, and a blue surgical mask.
Investigators are unsure if both robberies are connected or coincidental. Police remain active in the area, following up on investigative leads to identify the suspects.
Police are reminding members of the public to remain vigilant when walking and to report suspicious activity.
