Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have charged a man from Mississauga following a robbery investigation and believe there may be other victims.
It is alleged that on December 16, 2023, the accused met with a sex trade worker at a Mississauga hotel for a pre-arranged meeting. Upon completion, the accused requested additional services which were not agreed upon. When the victim declined, the accused became upset. Despite having his money returned, the accused proceeded to assault the victim and held her against her will when she tried to escape. The victim yelled for help, and the accused fled, stealing some of her belongings. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any serious physical injuries.
On December 22, 2023, 36-year-old David Piperni of Mississauga was arrested and held for bail on the following Criminal Charges:
- Robbery
- Forcible Confinement
- Utter Threats
- Fail to Comply with Release Order X2
At the time of his arrest, David was already on release for similar offences.
The 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau is investigating other incidents involving David and believes there are additional victims.
