    3 Men Arrested and Firearms Seized in an Attempt Murder Investigation

    12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested three men and seized three firearms in connection to an attempted murder investigation.

    On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 12:33 p.m., police were called to the area of Matheson Boulevard and Creekbank Road in Mississauga for a shooting. Upon arrival, police located a victim who suffered from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a trauma centre and is currently in stable condition. 

    As a result of this incident, officers from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau launched Project Poseidon to identify and locate the suspects involved in the shooting. 

    On Friday, January 5, 2023, investigators executed multiple search warrants across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). As a result, three suspects were arrested in connection to this investigation, and three firearms were seized along with a significant quantity of drugs. 

    Angelo Reid, a 34-year-old man from Oshawa, is charged with the following offences: 

    • Attempt Murder
    • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
    • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
    • Possession of a Prohibited Firearm Knowing Possession of Firearm is Unauthorized
    • Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
    • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
    • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
    • Possess firearm with Altered Serial Number

    Ralphord Shaw, a 27-year-old man from Whitby, is charged with the following offences: 

    • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
    • Careless Storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
    • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
    • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
    • Possession for the purpose of Trafficking (X3)

    Anthony Jones, a 35-year-old man from Whitby, is charged with the following offence:

    • Attempt Murder

    They were all held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
