Toronto police have charged a 17yrs old suspect with aggravated assault following a stabbing near a North York high school earlier this week. Initially reported seeing the assailant armed with a machete but police now describe the weapon as ‘a large knife’
Toronto Police say officers responded to a call for “a person with a knife” in the Finch Ave.-Bathurst St. area around 3:40 p.m.
One victim was stabbed “several times” and sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries
Investigators have not said whether the victim or student in Monday’s incident are students at the school.
